Swiss Bioscience and OrganTech collaborating on hair regeneration

(CONNECT) OrganTech has selected Swiss Bioscienceas its preferred strategic partner in Europe for the development and commercialization of its hair regeneration technologies. Both companies have reaffirmed their intention to explore this collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding. It encompasses regulatory development and manufacturing in accordance with quality assurance guidelines (Good Manufacturing Practice, GMP), clinical research and the potential commercialization of the conditioned medium technology.

According to a statement, this memorandum follows discussions between the two companies regarding the potential combination of OrganTech’s research and technology platform with Swiss Bioscience’s GMP-compliant manufacturing platform, its clinical research capabilities and its presence in the European market. The initial focus will be on a conditioned medium derived from allogenic hair follicle cells. In this, the potential of licensing and technology transfer will reportedly be examined.

As part of these efforts, the companies also intend to begin preliminary scientific, technical and regulatory assessments to evaluate potential pathways for future clinical research and technology transfer in Switzerland. Building on this, the two companies’ stated aim is to continue exploring opportunities to develop a broader and long-term strategic relationship in the field of hair regeneration.
